TRYLAX: YOU'LL LOVE IT.

Intermountain Lacrosse is volunteer driven! Parents play a wonderful role in the development and support of the sport of lacrosse. We have several resources available to parents to better understand the sport of lacrosse as played by both boys and girls.

What resources are available for new parents/players?

US Lacrosse has produced a wonderful parent guide section that provides information and outlines various aspects about the the sport. For more information specific to the rules of the sport select one of the following two options -  Youth Boys Rules   Girls Youth Rules

For new youth players, IMLAX offer's an equipment rental program. This can help off-set the initial expenses associated  with the sport. More  information can be found under our "Equipment Rental Tab" on the left-hand menu under the "Boys Youth" tab, Or click here

How do I register my son/daughter for lacrosse?

Registratering for any IMLAX league or event is done online through the League Athletics registration system imbedded on our website (www.imlaxutah.org). From the home page please select the large yellow "Register Now" button, or the "Register Online" tab from the left-hand vertical menu. Next select the appropriate league/age group registration from the list of open registrations that you wish to register for. *NOTE: First time registrants will need to create an account on the www.imlaxutah.org website - you will be promted to do so as you go through the registration process*

What team/program should I register for?

The boys and girls youth leagues teams/programs largely stem down through the affiliated high school lacrosse programs. Players are to register, and eligible to play, for the team/program that corresponds to the public high school boundaries in which they live. If your school/area does not have a lacrosse program players are then placed on the next closest team/program in the league. You may contact the office if you have questions about the next closest program, and/or visit the "team pages" section of the website to view all of the current teams/programs in each league (use the 3 dropdown menus to select (1) season (2) league/age-group (3)team/program)

After I register, how will I find out about practices and games?

It is the coaches responsibility to determine the practice schedule and location. They should then contact their roster and communicate this information. If you have not heard from your coach, please select the team page and contact the coach directly.

Games & Scheduling

Games schedules are produced by the Intermountain Lacrosse Staff. With teams ranging from Idaho Falls to southern Utah County all game schedules are created with the key objective of limiting travel for all parents, players, coaches, and teams in mind. Teams can expect to play the next closest teams in their local, with the majority of teams never traveling outside of a 15-20 mile radius at most.

In order to allow maximize use of fields, scheduling of officials and maximize schedule efficiency we make every effor to release the schedule as early as possbile.  However, with all the moving parts it is possible that the schedule won't be released until the Monday before the first Saturday of games due to last minute team splits and combinations. We appreciate your patience!

Are there scholarships available?

Yes, Intermountain Lacrosse provides a limited number of scholarships to players in need in each of our leagues. The online form must be completed and submitted to the IMLAX office. These forms are listed under the "Online Form" section of either the girls or boys league page located on the horizontal main menu. This scholarship does not cover your US Lacrosse  membership.  Individual teams may offer scholarships to cover team dues/fees. Please contact your coach for additional  information.

Please visit the appropriate league page ( i.e. winter league, high school, youth) from the horizontal main-menu for more information specific to each league.
