Overview:
The boys winter league consists of two separate divisions for high school boys to help ensure a fun and competitive atmosphere for all players. Both divisions are considered to be semi-competitive, but the overall skill level of teams between divisions does differ. There are playoffs and a championship for each respective division, and there is no cross divisional play (i.e. no 9/10 teams vs. 11/12 teams). Although the league is considered "semi-competative" Winter League, at its core, is concentrated on having fun and the love of the game! Both divisions provide players the same opportunity to play and enjoy the best part about lacrosse, the games, with friends, high school teammates and club teammates without the responsibility of practice.

Boys High School Winter League Rules Overview:
- All games officiated per current NFHS rules unless otherwise specified below
- Games are 24-minute running time halves, with a two-minute half time.
- Teams may take one one-minute timeout per game. However, team time-outs do not stop game time.
- Official time-outs (e.g. injury) do stop the game clock.
- Penalties are running time except when suspended for a time out or the half. Technical fouls are 45 seconds, and personal fouls run in 90-second increments therefore being time and a half. Penalty time begins when the player is in the box, and the official restarts play.
- In case of a tie, the game’s outcome will be determined by a brave heart face-off. This entails one middie, and one goalie per team until a goal is scored. Before possession is called, the goalie must remain in his defensive area. Once possession is called, the goalie is not restricted to his half of the field.
- Up to four long poles are allowed on the field. A long pole on faceoff is also allowed.
- Normal four-second goalkeeper count applies.
- No baiting, taunting or profanity
- Fans are to watch from the far sideline.
- Only coaching personnel and players are allowed on the team side.
- Any player involved in a fight will be banned from Winter League with no refund and may receive a harsher penalty if the commissioner feels it is necessary.
- No player may play for a different team except goalies. Only another goalie registered with another team in the league are eligible. (only if their team does not have a goalie present). Teams must agree before the start of the game to allow a substitute goalie.
Forfeits:
· Less than 8 players on one team. Teams may play with 7 field players (2 attack, 3 midfield, 2 defenders) and a goalie and not forfeit.
· If a team plays with a player not registered to play for their team.
· If a team does not provide a goalie and the opposing team does not agree to let them use a hector OR another goalie registered with another team in the league (only if their team does not have a goalie present).
· Forfeits end in a 0-1 loss.
· In the event team records are tied for playoff seeding, the tie breaker will go to goals scored against.
