RE:  Statement 5 – IMLAX Youth (K-8th grade) Lacrosse – regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

To: Parents, Coaches, Officials, and Players

Intermountain Lacrosse is dedicated to providing our members a meaningful positive lacrosse experience that fits within the guidelines given from local, regional, and national municipalities during this COVID-19 pandemic. As announced by Governor Herbert yesterday, most of the state is moving to a “YELLOW” status as of May 16, 2020.  In addition, he specifically noted that youth sports may resume activity.

With these new announcements, IMLAX is working diligently with our programs, field managers and health officials to promptly complete our plan for providing a lacrosse experience this spring.  We will have adjustments to our traditional lacrosse model, but we are encouraged by the opportunity to play lacrosse again.

We are moving ahead and anticipate lacrosse activity resuming early next week.  Specific guidelines will be provided to all programs, coaches, and parents in the coming days.  It is critical that we adhere to the guidelines provided to maintain a safe environment.

We appreciate your desire to play and your patience through this time of uncertainty.
